A new development from the South Korean smartphone giant Samsung is the rumoured entry of Samsung Galaxy Zero. The Galaxy Zero, if rumours are true, will be the first smartphone ever to feature a completely bezel-less design.
According to a Youtube channel ‘Science and Knowledge’, the giant is set to introduce a new design for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Zero with bezel-less design. The video shows a concept design of the phone in all its glory. The video also focuses on the rumoured features and specifications of the phone. The video shows different images of the concept phone with no bezels. It also highlights the cameras, home button, side buttons and many more hardware aspects of the phone.
Popular Dutch Tech Site got the scoop after uncovering a brand new Samsung WIPO (World International Property Office) patent which also details that the company will build a new completely bezel-less phone. The phone is likely to have no notches, no bezels, nothing.
The images show that the front-facing camera is included in the display itself, the frame of the phone is made out of metal with rounded display in the front. Two horizontally aligned cameras are placed on the back with the LED flash in between them. Talking about buttons, the Samsung Galaxy Zero phone has all the buttons on the left hand side. The volume buttons are clearly visible with the power button on top with some kind of slider button below it.
The sim tray is present on the right hand side of the phone. The phone’s speakers are present on the lower left side of the phone. The phone will sport a Type C USB port, following the lead of recent smartphones by Samsung. The video also shows wireless earphones with the phone (highlighting that the phone may lose the 3.5-mm jack altogether).
The designer of the video also talks about the specifications of the phone, mentioning that the phone may feature a Gorilla Glass 6 protection on both front and back. The phone sports a 6-inch QHD+ Super AMOLED display. The phones come with Android 8.1.2 Oreo preinstalled. The phone will be powered with a Snapdragon 855 processor, with variants available in 6GB-RAM and 8GB-RAM. The storage will also have options of 128 GB and 256 GB. The dual cameras on the back will be of 23-MP each and the front camera will be of 20-MP. All this will be supported by a 4500 mAh battery fuelled by Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 4.0 fast charging.
