Kaushik Patel (42), resident of Rajyog Society near Vaishnodevi Circle, a legal officer with Pacifica Developers has filed a complaint against Tarun Patel who has his office at Trade Centre in Memnagar, Krutarth Desai, Ulhas Chaku, Dashrath Patel, Pragnesh Patel, Mahendra Patel, Prahlad Patel and two unknown persons.
According to the complaint, Tarun Patel was a partner with the company seven years ago and had certain unsettled dues with them. The company had asked him to settle the accounts but he refused to see them and instead claimed that it owes him Rs 7 crore plus interest. He came to the office on Friday morning with nine others and after waiting for long at the reception used obscene language and demanded his money.
Tarun Patel and others returned on Saturday and after waiting six hours threatened to return on Monday with 50 persons and allegedly said that if money was not paid will abduct the owner. The office had then called the police control room and Patel and others left.
Vastrapur PI M M Jadeja said, “We have registered a complaint of criminal intimidation and use of obscene language. We will be collecting evidence like CCTV footage, take statements of the company staff who were present when the incident happened and also find out if the demand was about money or otherwise and then make the necessary arrests.”
