Estiluz has received the Red Dot 2016 Product Design Award for the Button suspension lamp. This practical, sustainable and futuristic product is created by Francesc Rifé. Button was already awarded with the #MetropolisLikes during ICFF 2015 in New York.
The primary hallmark of this leading-edge lighting system is its possibility to adapt to users’ needs in several ways: it serves as a functional shelf, it can illuminate large areas as well as small rooms, each head has its touch sensor that dims and switches each point of light on and off individually, and each of these heads can also be distributed as required along the electrified track independently.
These features underline the practical character of Button and make it energy efficient. Straight lines, sinuous and curved shapes are part of this fully adaptable luminaire, a reflection of Francesc Rifé’s geometric proportions and minimalist designs.
