Examining the role that EdTech plays in countries with low and middle incomes From 22 to 26 March 2025, EdTech Hub is excited to take part in the 69th annual conference of the Comparative and International Education Society (CIES). This year’s event brings together researchers, policymakers, and practitioners to explore key challenges in education, spanning early childhood, primary, secondary, higher, and lifelong learning.
As part of these discussions, we will be sharing insights from our latest research on the role of technology in education. More specifically, our work focuses on low and middle-income countries (LMICs), where digital tools present opportunities to expand access to quality learning, particularly for marginalised learners. We want to assist policymakers, educators, and funders in making informed, evidence-based decisions that bring about meaningful change by examining what works and what doesn’t. In addition, we will discuss how EdTech can address ongoing issues in education and ensure that no student is left behind. Sessions of the EdTech Hub at CIES 2025 Throughout the conference, we will present at several sessions, highlighting research findings and engaging in critical discussions.
