Airtel has announced that it will sell the iPhone X to customers via its recently launched online store. However, only postpaid customers of the operator will be able to buy the handset from its online platform, it said in a statement. While iPhone X is available on pre-orders via e-commerce retailers such as Flipkart and Amazon, it is not listed on the Airtel site at present. The company said in its media release that iPhone X will go sale via its website at 6pm IST on Friday, November 3.
Like online retailers, Airtel is offering the Rs. 10,000 cashback on buying the iPhone X on purchases made via Citibank credit cards. It has pointed out that only the purchases made between 6pm IST on Friday and 7am IST on Saturday will be eligible for the cashback offer.
The iPhone X will be sold to Airtel postpaid users on “first come, first serve basis and full payment basis” – meaning, no EMI option. The company says prepaid users who want to buy the handset from its online store will have to move to a postpaid plan.
