A 17,000-square-foot private oceanfront compound straight out of South Beach is set to hit the market for $8 million in Manhattan Beach.
The unique three-story gated residence, which sits down a cul-de-sac by Brighton Beach, even has an infinity pool, a Miami-style cabana, a gazebo and a full bar and barbeque.
“Wherever you’re sitting you can see the ocean. In the far distance, you can even see the Jersey Shore,” said the broker, Ariel Tirosh of Douglas Elliman. “This is not what you think of when you think of Brooklyn.”
The home, which is just 15 miles from Manhattan at 296 West End Ave., was put on the market for a couple of weeks in 2012 but was soon delisted because of a refinancing and damage sustained during Hurricane Sandy, Tirosh said.
The home is unique on its quiet block
Now, it’s back and it’s more resilient than ever, with new storm-proof doors and a waterfront storm barrier installed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
“It’s a fortress, now,” Tirosh said.
More importantly, the home is now nearly $2 million cheaper. In 2012, it was listed for $9.75 million.
The 6,000-square-foot pad has three bedrooms, four bathrooms, radiant heated floors, electric blinds, a movie-projection system and a roof deck with a private bar and a Jacuzzi.
