Actor Priyanka Chopra said on Tuesday that what she liked best about acting was the opportunity to play anyone she wanted to be. She made the comment in an online chat with fans at the headquarters of Twitter in San Francisco. She said, “My most favourite thing of being an actress is being able to play so many different characters and the fact that I can be anybody. Scary, huh?”

Asked what was the one thing she always needed on the sets, she said, “My phone. Otherwise how will I tweet you guys? That’s very essential.”

Fans also quizzed Ms. Chopra on her American drama TV series Quantico, which has helped her gain international recognition. One fan wanted to know how much of the storyline was revealed to her at the beginning of each season. “Not really too much as I just really want to find out when Alex finds out. So I insist on not finding out too much, but I find out like two episodes before the one we are going to shoot.”

In the new season, Ms. Chopra will play CIA agent Alex Parrish. In the first season, she played an FBI recruit. She will also be seen as a guest judge on Season 15 of the American TV series, Project Runway , hosted by supermodel Heidi Klum. The show, which will air from September, gives budding designers an opportunity to create a collection for the New York Fashion Week.

Ms. Chopra will be making her Hollywood debut by playing a negative role in Baywatch , which also stars Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and Zac Efron.

The movie, which is the big screen version of the globally popular television series, is set to release in May 2017.
