We’d all like to see how the 1% lives — but now you can gawk for a good cause.

The Residences at W New York — Downtown is hosting tours of its 55th- and 56th-floor penthouses starting Friday. All proceeds from the Designer Showhouse of New York support the Lenox Hill HealthPlex opening in West Village next month.

Most of these top-tier turfs are collaborations among three designers, who worked independently to reinvent each penthouse. In one of these dozen domains, you can walk from a chic kitchen by Patricia Fisher to a lush living room by Darci Hether to an art-filled bedroom by Mannarino Designs. That’s a lot of lavishness packed into one place.

“I had no idea what the rest of this place would look like,” says Fisher, one of more than 30 designers who remade part of each apartment. “It was incredible to see how the same spaces could be decorated in such different ways.”

Visitors can have a fling with these fancy flats, but these homes — with postcard views of the Statue of Liberty and One World Trade Center — will soon sell for sky-high prices between $2 million and $4 million.

“This is the kind of place for people who want dinner parties in the sky,” says Jack Ovadia, who designed a kitchen on the 56th floor.

There’s an irony to showing off high-rises to help the Lenox Hill HealthPlex. The upcoming clinic takes the place of the West Village’s historic St. Vincent’s medical centers, which closed in 2010 and are now being converted into, of all things, luxury apartments.

The view includes a postcard shot of One World Trade Center.
